During June 2007, Jamestown sold its first two commercial lot parcels to Queen City Investments LLC, owned and operated by Johnny Damon of the NY Yankees, and his father-in-law Stephen Mangan, a local Rogersville native. Damon recently completed Phase I construction of an 18-unit, 27,340 sq/ft retail shopping center, called Jamestown Plaza. The Plaza is located at the front entrance of the development and is an exciting addition to the community. Damon and his group also have purchased Lot C2, adjacent to the Plaza, for a future convenience store location, and have a contract on Lot C17 for a proposed office building.
